MULTIVERSE PLC: APPOINTMENT OF A NEW DIRECTOR

Multiverse Plc notified The Exchange of the appointment of Mr. Arnold Ekpe as a Director of the Company effective 15th August, 2013.
Joining the Company with wealth of experience, Mr. Arnold Ekpe holds First Class Honors Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Manchester University and Manchester Business School respectively.
With over 30 years of experience in the banking industry drawn from Africa and beyond, Mr. Ekpe was the Vice President and Head of sub-Saharan Africa Structured Trade and Corporate Finance at Citibank in the 1990’s. He is a former CEO of United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA) (2002 - 2004) and has also been a partner in one of the leading private equity firms in Nigeria.
Mr. Ekpe, with an abiding passion in promoting pan-African private-sector initiatives became the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ecobank Group (2005 - 2012) having previously held the same position from 1996 to 2001. He turned Ecobank into an undisputed leader in pan-African banking with its presence in over 35 countries with over 1,100 branches across the continent.
