Ecobank supports CBN’s cashlite policy with card 4 prizes Promo

 Ecobank Nigeria has unveiled card four prizes promo as part of efforts aimed at promoting the use of alternative payment channels by customers and strengthening the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)’s cashlite initiative.

The promo according to a statement from the bank will run for three months, to give customers of the bank opportunity to win prizes that includes sedan cars, all-expense paid trip to Brazil and scholarships valued N300, 000 each for different sets of winners.

The winners according to the statement will to be drawn from different parts  of the country.

Announcing the draws in Lagos, Ecobank Head, Cards and e-banking, Mr. Tunde Kuponiyi said there will be three monthly draws and a grand Finale draw to be held in Lagos, Port Harcourt and Abuja simultaneously.

He disclosed that 15 winners will emerge monthly from the draws.  Each of these winners will take home smart phones; LCD TVs; air conditioners; home theatres and power generating sets. There is also instant reward for customers who walk into any of the bank branches, pick up debit cards and activate them instantly.

On the modalities for the promotion, Mr. Kuponiyi explained that “a point based rating” will be utilized in choosing winning customers. This means that customers will be awarded points for every transaction done on the bank’s alternative channels.

The alternative channels, he stated, include cash withdrawals from Ecobank’s Automated Teller Machines (ATMs), Purchases on Point of Sales (POS) terminals and internet payments. He added that ‘Value Added Services’ (VAS), like other transactions done via the ATM such as interbank transfers, quickteller bills payment amongst others will be counted as internet payments. However, withdrawals done on other bank’s ATMs will not attract any points.”

Speaking further Mr. Kuponiyi said customers are expected to accumulate a minimum of 20 points to qualify for the monthly draw, while the Grand Finale draw is based on total accumulated points during the course of the promo.
